Huguenot High School

Richmond, VA

Old Dominion Firestopping provided firestopping, smoke sealant and acoustical sealants at mechanical, plumbing and sprinkler through-penetrations, as well as the perimeter fire containment on the 250,000 square-foot, three-story educational facility. The project includes classrooms, specialty laboratory spaces, a 1,000-seat auditorium, 500-seat dining commons, a media center, television studio, distance learning center, 2D and 3D art rooms, a ceramics workshop, culinary arts space and administrative areas. Athletic features include a 2,000-seat gymnasium, 3,500-seat football stadium and competition baseball, softball and tennis facilities. Stadium outbuildings include a concessions building, field house, ticket booths and press box.

Completed in 2014, the project finished on time with zero injuries. Old Dominion Firestopping contracted with Colonial Webb Contractors to perform the work. Hess Construction was the general contractor.

Quantico Elementary School

Quantico, VA

Old Dominion Firestopping provided firestopping at all through-penetrations on the 130,000-square-foot consolidated educational facility to replace an existing elementary school. The project includes classrooms, offices, a gymnasium, an auditorium, cafeteria and restrooms.

Completed in 2014, the project finished on time with zero injuries. Old Dominion Firestopping contracted with M&E Contractors to perform the work. W.M. Jordan Company was the general contractor.
