Richmond International Airport

Richmond, VA

Old Dominion Firestopping provided firestopping at all through-penetrations on the 270,000-square-foot, two-story terminal building consisting of six baggage claim carousels, seven rental car counters and 12 ticketing stations. Work also included the renovation of the existing single-story terminal into a baggage make-up area.

Completed in 2005, the project finished on time with zero injuries despite the challenging logistics of performing work in an operating airport. Old Dominion Firestopping contracted with Colonial Webb Contractors to perform the work. Hunt was the general contractor.
